Minnesota: Ramsey County still hopeful about a second daily passenger train from Chicago to the Twin Cities

The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners remains optimistic that a second daily round-trip passenger train could someday connect the Twin Cities, Milwaukee and Chicago.

Currently, Amtrak’s Empire Builder makes a morning pick-up at the Union Depot transit station in downtown St. Paul on its way to Chicago, and an evening drop-off at the same location for the return trip.
