‘Gold standard’ no more, New Jersey Transit’s train operations display board is going dark

NJ Transit’s train display board at its rail operations center in Kearny was state-of-the-art when it was installed in 2002, the “gold standard” for railroad control centers.

Now the board, which stretches more than a city block, is obsolete.
