Wisconsin: Eau Claire to play role in driverless vehicle research

Eau Claire’s transit system will be part of a UW-Madison study on the possibilities for driverless buses.

At its 6 p.m. Wednesday meeting at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, 400 Eau Claire St., the Eau Claire’s Transit Commission is scheduled to pick one of its members to join city staff who will provide information to researchers studying how autonomous vehicles would function as public transportation.
