Wondering why you can’t get a seat on Metro-North even though you pay some of the highest commuting fares in the country?

Yeah, we are too.

Over the summer, the commuter rail’s on-time performance descended to its lowest point in five years. June’s on-time performance was around 89 percent, meaning 11 percent of trains got into the station at least six minutes past their scheduled time.
