Francis Tapon: What’s a common misconception about train travel in America?
Marc Magliari: It’s usually best to buy your tickets as far in advance as possible. But we have Flash Sales that pop up and last for two or three days and then disappear. Check the Deals tab on Amtrak.com. Sometimes they have blackouts, sometimes they don’t.
