West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin writes Amtrak about New River Train concerns

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WVNS) – Concerns over Amtrak’s policy regarding private and charter trains continue to get attention at the highest levels.  U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has sent another letter to Amtrak CEO Richard Anderson.  The Senator first addressed the issue with Amtrak in April 2018.

According to a release from the Senator’s office, the policies and restrictions are causing trouble for the owner of the New River Train, Collis P Huntington Railroad Historical Society.  The train runs between Huntington and Hinton.
