Ah, progress.

Earlier this week I started fielding calls from Martin County residents who’d noticed the carnage. All along the rail line which parallels Dixie Highway/A1A south of Indian Street and north of Hobe Sound, vegetation had been ripped out, huge palm trees torn up by their roots.

Further north, in St. Lucie County, homeowners along Indian River Drive have been vexed by similar work, with some complaining that work crews bulldozed everything right up to their rear property lines.
