Train derailment sent 36 cars full of coal into the Great Dismal Swamp in Southeastern Virginia

Thirty-six railroad cars full of coal went off the tracks early Tuesday and landed in the Great Dismal Swamp, officials said Wednesday.

The derailment was not, as Norfolk Southern originally told The Virginian-Pilot, in the Portlock area of Chesapeake.
