The Hoosier State train is going away on July 1. Here’s what it means for Indianapolis.

After nearly 30 years of service, the Hoosier State train will make its last run June 30.

The Amtrak passenger train connects Indianapolis to Chicago, making stops in Crawfordsville, Lafayette, Rensselaer and Dyer four days a week. The final train leaves from Chicago’s Union Station at 5:45 p.m. and arrives in Indianapolis at 11:39 p.m.
