Roanoke, Virginia-based tourism agency receives grant to market beer and outdoors scene

 

Regional tourism bureau Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge was awarded a $50,000 grant from the Virginia Tourism Corporation to implement a marketing campaign surrounding the region’s breweries, outdoors activities and the new Amtrak train station.

The “Rails, Trails and Ales” campaign is designed to build on niche marketing efforts already in place in the region and to highlight travel packages combining the three sectors.
