SPRINGFIELD – Rail passengers and their advocates will gather Saturday in Springfield at what they see as a watershed moment.
The new CTrail train service from Springfield to Hartford and New Haven is five months old. Plans for new service north of Springfield to Holyoke, Northampton and Greenfield and east-west to the Berkshires from New York and between Boston and Springfield are picking up steam.
