Imagine this: You’re a fresh-faced software engineer working in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As the day ends in your Barrington Street office, you grab a beer with your colleagues, pick up some groceries and walk to the station to catch your ride. Half an hour later you step off the train and walk a short distance to your waterfront home.

The catch? Home is 150 kilometres away in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
