Ontario’s high-speed rail plan moved forward with call for bids on Kitchener-to-London line

It’s apparently full steam ahead for the province’s proposed high-speed rail project with officials issuing a request for bids to develop the terms of reference for the Kitchener-Waterloo-to- London portion of the line.

Premier Kathleen Wynne announced last May that the province would begin a $15-million environmental assessment study for the rail line, which is designed to carry high-speed trains at up to 250 kilometres an hour between Toronto and Windsor.
