Ontario: Muskoka rallies for rail as new passenger loop proposed in north

MUSKOKA — A Muskoka organization wants voters to get loud about northern passenger rail revival this provincial election.

“I’m not going to tell you all the reasons why we want to have and need to have passenger rail back in northern Ontario, but I’m going to tell you how we’re going to get it back,” Lucille Frith, co-chair for the committee promoting Muskoka rail travel, told a crowd of roughly 40 people in Bracebridge at Rally for Rail on May 14. “And it’s going to be you folks who are going to get it back for us.”
