A regional group is calling on the Progressive Conservative government – as it prepares for its first budget – to invest in passenger rail services for Northern Ontario.
The Northeastern Ontario Rail Network (NEORN) issued a release Monday suggesting Northerners are asking, as the legislature resumes this week, if there will be dollars earmarked in the upcoming provincial budget for the return of passenger rail service between Toronto and Cochrane.
