New York State opinion: Amtrak still sets holiday records

Don’t let anyone tell you that, for whatever reasons, people no longer take the train.

You might glean that negative impression strolling through the new and often vacant Niagara Falls Amtrak Station in this city’s North End. From all indications though, the current rail passenger service is at the cusp of a record fiscal year. While they’re not smashing any records at this stage, business is brisk elsewhere.
