New York State after Iowa Pacific: Warren County struggles with what to do with its railroad tracks

QUEENSBURY — Warren County has hired a new law firm to represent it as it tries to find its way out of a contract impasse with the railroad company operating on its rail line.

But the Board of Supervisors will be limited by federal law that requires that the tracks be kept open if the lines to the north are in use.
