Rensselaer – Projects intended to improve Amtrak’s Empire Service are in the works, officials said during a celebration marking the service’s 50th anniversary Monday.
The event, held at the Capital District Transportation Authority rail station in Rensselaer, drew current and former officials from Amtrak, the New York Central Railroad, CDTA, the state Department of Transportation and the state Public Service Commission.
