The idea of a regional passenger train was the topic of Focus on the Future, a program held Tuesday at Monroe County Community College.
If it stays on track, a proposed passenger rail system would connect Monroe to neighboring metropolitan areas and spur economic growth. Dubbed the T- rail, the project would connect Toledo, Ann Arbor and Detroit via a passenger rail system with the Detroit Metropolitan Airport serving as a focal point of the new travel corridor.
