Milwaukee’s downtown streetcar posted an increase in average daily ridership in December, tallying 2,453 trips a day, or 156 more per day than it had in its first month of service.
That led to a 76,044 total rides for the month, the city of Milwaukee reported Tuesday. The system tallied 76,125 total riders in November after starting passenger service on Nov. 2. The city credited strong demand on Mondays and Tuesdays for boosting the average daily counts.
