Metro Is Bringing a Retro Arcade to Los Angeles Union Station

Metro knows people think of Union Station as little more than a pretty place to change trains, and they’re on a mission to change that. Instead of a place to walk through on your way somewhere else, they want Angelenos to see the station as a destination. This weekend they’re appealing to children of the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s with a retro gaming party.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23, Metro is transforming the ticket concourse into Union Station’s Retrocade Experience. They’re bringing in 40 retro arcade games and pinball games from Vintage Arcade Superstore in Glendale, including Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, NBA Hang Time, X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, Hydro Thunder, Mortal Kombat, Star Wars Trilogy, and Super Off-Road. NES players will be set up in a day-glow gaming lounge. The event will also feature retro snacks from Mr. Churro, with Traxx serving beer, wine, and specialty cocktails.
