Now that a judge has denied the state’s attempt to neuter the Adirondack RR, my hope is that the railroad’s operators will finally find a way to make the entire railroad as relevant as the portion to Thendara, Old Forge and Big Moose.
One way to do this would be to employ the use of railbuses. These are simply regular buses – school buses are ideal – with gear referred to as HI-Rail fitted to the frame making them suitable for both highway and rail use.
