Grand Central becomes a makeshift hotel for stranded commuters in New York City

Unlucky commuters were forced to bed down on the steps of Grand Central Station early Thursday, stranded in the city after Winter Storm Quinn snarled area rail lines.

“I’m stuck here and I’m not very happy,” groused Christina Ramos, of New Haven, Conn. “It’s not like you can just book a last-minute hotel in New York City because they’re overpriced, so I’m stuck sleeping on the floor.”
