German railroad dispatcher detained after train crash kills 2

A train dispatcher was detained Tuesday after a passenger train hit a stationery freight train in southern Germany, killing two and injuring 14, police said.

The crash late Monday happened close to a station in the town of Aichach. The passenger train was traveling from Augsburg to Ingolstadt. Its 37-year-old driver and a 73-year-old female passenger were killed.
