Federal grant to help improve railroad tracks throughout Michigan

MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) — Three Michigan Congressmen have announced a federal grant to improve infrastructure and safety on railroad tracks running throughout Michigan.

On Tuesday, Congressman Jack Bergman, Congressman John Moolenaar and Congressman Dan Kildee announced the $8,669,657 grant will help invest in Lake State Railway‘s Mackinaw Subdivision, which operates hundreds of miles of track running from its headquarters in Saginaw up to Gaylord and Alpena.
