Australia – Mind the gap: What your journey to work could look like after lockdown

Public transport services should be run half empty and no standing room allowed to make it possible for commuters to observe a safe distance as they return to the network when COVID-19 restrictions start to ease.

A new report by consultancy firm WSP Australia warns that commuters could permanently “switch” from public transport to their cars if they don’t feel safe on the city’s trains, trams or buses.
