Ashland, Virginia train station readies for ADA project

ASHLAND — With all the hoopla created by efforts to bring a third rail to Ashland last year, a project that could greatly affect the community has gone mostly unnoticed.

“The third rail thing was such an awful thing that it took all of our attention,” said Ashland Main Street design committee chair Bob Brown. “If that issue hadn’t been here, and Amtrak started to fiddle around with our historic station, there would be a lot of noise about it.”
